Make sure your workspace is properly lit, as looking at a bright screen in a dark room causes eye irritation. Keep in mind that an LCD monitor is much easier on the eyes. Remember to take frequent breaks, using the 20-20-20 rule: Every 20 minutes, look at an object 20 feet away for 20 seconds.

From the second you walk in the door you are treated like family. A young lady greeted me and checked me in on the computer. I was early for my appointment so I starting browsing at the frames, another lady Bridget started helping me look and by a process of elimination she helped me pick the perfect pair.
Are you wondering if your child needs professional eye care? Vision problems are very common in children, but many kids don’t verbally communicate such issues to their parents. Here are few signs that may indicate that it is time to take your child to the eye doctor:
Squinting. Squinting will temporarily give your child better vision, because much like looking through a pinhole, squinting reduces the size of the blurred image projected on to the retina.
Sitting Too Close to the TV. This is a common sign of nearsightedness, so consult an optometrist if your child appears to struggle when viewing objects that are farther away.
Head-Tilting. If your child has an eye muscle imbalance, he or she may tilt the head to temporarily minimize the double vision that occurs when looking down or in a certain direction.
Covering One Eye to Read. This sign of a vision problem in one eye may also happen while your child is watching TV. Eye covering or closing is your child’s way of simply shutting off the inferior eye, and can indicate an eye muscle imbalance or a more serious issue such as cataracts.
Frequent Headaches. If your child experiences frontal headaches or brow aches more often than is common, he or she may be suffering from the effects of uncorrected farsightedness.
Difficulty Seeing the Board at School. This is a common symptom of nearsightedness and other vision problems, so ask your child or your child’s teacher if this seems to be an issue.
